This is a verse-by-verse study that our church did on Wednesday evenings in 2022-2023 of the final book of the New Testament, Revelation. The word “revelation” comes from the Greek word apokalupsis (from which we get our word “apocalypse”) which means “a peeling back of the curtain” or “an unveiling.” While many things in the book of Revelation are prophecies of the future, the book of Revelation is primarily God’s final Word concerning His Son, Jesus Christ. In this book He is revealed to be “King of kings and Lord of lords” (Revelation 19:16). As you dive into this in depth study of the book with us, it is our prayer that you will see Christ as glorified above all else, as the Lamb of God who truly takes away the sin of the world, as the One who is coming again with power and glory, and as the One who fulfills all of the promises of God to His people. “The Lamb Has Overcome!”
