This is a sermon series delivered at our church in the Winter and Spring of 2024 on the Church of Jesus Christ. In this series, seek to define from Scripture what the Church is, what its mission is, who leads it, and so many other things. The Church is the people of God on earth. It is comprised of those whom God’s Spirit dwells in as His temple and who are His household, or family. Through this series, it is our prayer that you will come to be a part of God’s people through faith in and obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ, that you will be involved in God’s mission in the world, and that you will love the people of God that He has redeemed and reconciled to Himself through His Son. Are you a part of God’s household, His Church?
Ephesians 2:19 – “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God.”
1 Timothy 3:15 – “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”
